What
Machine du Vin is a magical three-day, music, wine, food and arts festival. The spectacular takes place on the grounds of an ancient medieval chateau in the romantic rural village of Camon in Southern France this summer. Everyone is welcome.
Where
Camon is a tiny and spectacular village between Toulouse & Narbonne in the South of France which many believe isas the most beautiful village in all France. The festival takes place in the heart of the village, in fields surrounding L’Abbaye Chateau de Camon.
Camon is appealingly remote yet it is still remarkably easy to access from most major ports in Europe. Flights into Toulouse take less than two hours from London, Amsterdam or Berlin and less than one hour from Paris, Barcelona, Geneva or Nice.
France’s high speed trains take six hours in comfort from Paris or Barcelona across some of the most picturesque countryside on the planet.
From Toulouse airport or train station, rent a car or jump on one of our Machine du Vin buses direct to the festival (and back at the end).
When
Last weekend of August – 31.08.2018 – 02.09.2018. Campsites open from midday Thursday 30 August and close midday Monday 3 September.
How much
A three-day festival ticket costs: 149€
Main Campsite (bring your own tent) costs 10€ for the weekend per tent
If you don’t have a tent then book a place in Tent town. 129€ buys you a stay in an already assembled two-person tent complete with two mats, sleeping bags and pillows (or 199€ for a four-person tent)
For a bit more luxury head to Glamping grove. 349€ buys you a stay in a two-person canvas tent with carpet flooring, a mattress, sleeping bags, pillows, lighting and a doormat.
If you’re not really a “tent” person, we recommend Air BNB or Booking.com both in the village of Camon and surrounding villages of Mirepoix, Chalabre, Lagarde which are all within 5-10 minutes of the festival. Complimentary shuttle buses will run on a continuous loop to and from these neighbouring villages for the duration of the festival.
