While AXA’s Travel Protection plans insure you for trip for cancellation, illness, natural disaster and death when you cannot get a refund elsewhere, in this scenario, you will be entitled to a payout of up to 75% of those costs.
However, AXA’s Platinum plan allows you to bolt on an extra layer of travel insurance allowing you to cancel for any reason and still recover 75% of your costs that you cannot get refunded elsewhere. This could include:
- Prepaid Expenses
- Forfeited Expenses
- Non-refundable Expenses or Deposits
In other words, if you cancel your trip, you can expect a no-quibble payout without any explanation.
What happens if my trip is interrupted?
If your trip is interrupted the AXA Platinum plan can cover you for the non-refundable portion of your trip and the transportation costs you incur for your return trip home.
