What
Teddy Rocks Festival is “Fighting Children’s Cancer With Rock”. It started from humble beginnings in The Greyhound Pub in Blandford, North Dorset in 2012 by Founder Tom Newton, to help fundraise for the charity Teddy20. Tom and his parents were moved to raise money for children and families fighting Cancer after the sad loss of his brother, Ted Newton, who was 10 years old when he lost his life to a rare bone Cancer.
Since then, the festival has relocated to Charisworth Farm and has attracted fantastic headliners including Feeder, Ash, Scouting For Girls and The Hoosiers.
All profits raised from ticket sales are donated to the charity.Teddy Rocks Festival has raised over £250,000 for Teddy20.
Where
The festival takes place at Charisworth Farm, a greenfield site located outside Blandford Forum. The postcode is DT11 9AL.
The festival is open to campers (tents only).
You can either park on-site or there will also be a shuttle bus to the festival every hour. The bus leaves Blandford Town Centre (Morrison’s supermarket cap park) at half past the hour, and Teddy Rocks site on the hour.
When
Teddy Rocks Festival takes place from Friday 03 May to Sunday 05 May, 2019. Gates open on Friday at 17:00 and campers must vacate the site by midday on the Monday.
How much
Compared to many music festivals, Teddy Rocks is a total bargain. Weekend camping tickets are just £81 for adults and £21.60 for ages 6-13. All profits raised from ticket sales are donated to Teddy20.

What’s on
The main headliners for this year’s festival are British rock band The Darkness, and indie band The Zutons, whose hit song “Valerie” was covered by Mark Ronson and Amy Winehouse in 2006. Joining them will be a variety of acts covering pop rock, indie rock, folk, ska, punk, metal, drum and bass, grime and more. You will also be able to enjoy your favourite tunes performed by tribute bands such as Foo Forgers and Blinked 182.

There are plenty of other activities on offer for adults and kids including axe throwing, bungee trampolines, a silent disco and a bucking bronco. Children can take part in arts & crafts activities and meet Mr Bear himself.

Teddy Rocks Festival will also be selling a selection of locally brewed beers and ciders. Campers are allowed to bring a limited amount of booze to drink in the campsite, but there’s a no-glass rule.
If you’re feeling peckish there’s a great choice of food stands serving everything from vegan treats to wood fired pizzas.
